We were told to get Bono floor cleaner for our hardwood. Gives them a nice shiny finish but they're not slippery.

Murphy"s oil soap. It will clean the floors and not remove the finish. Any big food store carries the brand.

You need a cleaner, then a wax or floor shine.
I cleaned mine with soap, lemon, vinegar, water and elbow grease.
Once they are all cleaned I use mop and glow for wood floors.
