I spilled some acrylic paint on my deck and tried to get it off with water, then rubbing alcohol, and then finnally an acrylic paint remover. The remover left dark patches on my wooden deck and the paint still shows. Im hoping that rain will clear it off, but can I try something else?

There isn't anything seperating the rooms, so I can't do them 1 at a time. The other thing is the house turns 100years old this year and i only have about 3 month to work with before the historical sociaty wants to start showing the house on tours. Is there any thing i can put on them to make them look better in the mean time?

I need to buy a saw to cut small branches 2" to 4" for making rustic garden furniture. The saw would also be used for cutting treated wood of various sizes but mostly 4"x 2". I have arthritis in my hands and need some advise, would I be better to buy an all purpose electric saw or an electric chain saw. The prices of both saw would be at the lower end around £75. Has anyone used both types of saw and which would you advise me to buy.

We're having a electrician come in and running some wires for us for a new outlet. Hes gonna pull power from an existing outlet (not used) which is about 3ft away on an adjacent wall (L shaped corner). We're in an apartment and theres no attic or basement so my question is how will he get the wire across that corner? Im not attempting this myself since I dont wanna electricute myself or anything just want to get a heads up on what this guy is gonna do and if hes doing it right.

I bought a townhouse a few months back and switched out all the outlets and switches. I have 3 switches that don't seem to turn anything on. I plugged a light into each top/bottom outlet and turn the switch on and off, but nothing. I am thinking that I didn't break off one of the tabs on the side but don't know which one I should break off which outlet. Can I choose which outlet is controlled by the switch? How do I know which tab to break off? Really annoying having switches that don't power anything. HELP !!!

Alright, I'm on my own right now since my husband is in Iraq and I have been trying to get the screens off the windows and I can't!!! How the h*ll do you get screens out of windows? I can unlock them and part-way take them out but then the edge of the window gets in the way of me taking it all the way off the window. I need about a milimeter more space to slide it all the way out. Is there a certain technique to gets these things out? I've never had to do it on my own before. I hope I explained this in a way people can understand and someone can help me out here. I feel like it is a simple thing that I am just making way more difficult than it actually is....

Who, what how and/or where do I get this job done tomorrow?
Hi, I have a 5 mtr x 2.5 mtr concrete sectional garage I have been asked to arrange for it to be removed from Sutton in Surrey and delivered to Rochester,Kent. the planks that comprise the garage are bolted together, there are no posts because it is freestanding. They are 400mmx1200mm x 50mm thick and weigh 70 kilo each. There are 29 planks that are heavy enough to be almost too much for two guys to move. tthe men that took the garage down are unable to drive a hire vehicle as they are too young (must be over 25yrs) and I do not even know what section or heading I should be looking under in the business pages. It's not removal men its not man and van (transit van is too small as roof panels are 5 mtr long), what heading do trucks with assisted crane loading come under anyway

I want to incorperate people's faces in a spring handmade quilt. Everyone at work has to make a 12 x 12 inch quilting block for the quilt. I want to put their faces in the middle of flowers. Also everyone has a piece of the same material they have to use in the block in some way to tie the whole quilt together.

SORRY if this is posted three times... I have been having internet problems, causing everything to be triplicated.

I want up to three 2-gang sockets in my shed, mainly to run a fountain pump, outdoor lights (few hours per day), plus occasional use of lawn mower, hedge trimmer, etc.
The shed is like a brick extension to the house, and it appears possible to run cables under the floorboards (house is elevated) out into the shed without them going outside (had been done previously, but stripped away).
Would I be able to have these sockets added by extending my downstairs ring circuit, using 2.5sqmm twin-core and earth cable? Would there be any problem (e.g. voltage drop) due to long length of wire between sockets - at most, the cluster of sockets would be 6-8 metres from the neighbouring sockets on the ring (back in the kitchen), and can this be got round? If this plan is not feasible, can you suggest a suitable alternative arrangement?

All of these squirrels are coming into my house at night through cracks, windows, and under my door. I want to like build a trap door and like put a carrot on it ya know? So like the squirrel seees the carrot, he smells the carrot, but when he takes the carrot, he falls in a trap door with the other bastard squirrels. I want to trap these beasts of burden. How can i build such a device in my floor board?
