I'm looking for a piece of carpet that is going to be put over ceramic tile so that my 1 year old doesn't fall and hit his head if he falls off of the couch or when he falls down. This piece won't cover the whole room, but I need somewhere to cut me a piece to the exact shape I need to cover an odd shaped room. I do not plan on having it installed because we are renting and I can't ruin their nice flooring underneath. Where do I look for a piece of thick carpeting that can be cut to my exact measurements??

Also, what kind of carpet is VERY thick?

But, on another program it was shown that 90% of Fortune 500 C.E.O's had 'floor files' which in my small business I did, also. I found that with scores of projects going at the same time something important would fall through the cracks or, even worse, a new client would call and catch me off gaurd if I didn't have his/her file in front of me in order to refresh my memory-I might forget their name, I was so busy.
Making a 'goof' could cost me a lot of money or at the least make me very embarrassed.
But what I have going on now is a complete disaster.
I work at home with a small recording studio in my office and I cannot find things that will bring in money. In one situation all that needs to be done is put together a fax cover sheet and send in some paper work to receive a $500 re-imbursement. It sits right in front of me and has for months. I need the money.
While I get this together top send in coould someone please help.
Frank

Can you mix semi gloss latex paint and satin latex paint together?
i bought a whole lot of paints at lowes, that was marked down to like $2 and $4 a gallon, because it was premixed colors, that were custom colors and someone dint pay for so they marked it down.any ways i didnt think to look at the finish, all looked at was that it was latex and made sure it was colors that might look good mixed together.so if i can what will it do?will it just make the semi gloss less glossy or what?or can i not mix them?

Our natural gas furnace is 4 years old and has started dripping water from the neck of the vent. This could be from the chimney. It is possible to replace part of the vent, but will this fix my problem? More importantly, is it dangerous to keep my furnace running while there is a leak?

bed bugs are gross and they must have been in my place for at least 2 months before I even knew it. I've done a lot of stuff to get rid of them .... What methods besides moving and or hiring an exterminator have worked for you or for someone you know??? I really need to know ... even though they seem to have finally taken the hint and gone away ... Should they decide to come back I want to make sure "that they is history up in here in my flop."

I have wood flooring in my dining/living room ( they flow toegther) hall and three bedrooms. I would like to refinish the floors. I know I will need to putty the holes from cable installs, sand, stain and poly them. The probelm I have is that the only bathroom in the house is only accessable from the hall floor. I hear that I cannot do the floor in sections because it will discolor. I also hear that I have to let each coat of poly dry for 8 hours between coats. So, how can I refinish the floors? Is there something I can use to seal the floor after I sand and stain that doesn't need so much dry time and is still durable? Could I just do sections of the floor without noticible differences in the color/finish? Any help at all, links too, is greatly appreciated.

I am also not a think in the box type....if there is some off the wall product that is safe and will get the job done, thats fine with me:) Like the stuff used to seal outdoor decks??

We recently moved into a 26 year old home, it has oak floors in the entrance way and down the hall. It looks like there is some type of sealant or glue inbetween the planks. these are cracking and seperating leaving gaps in some areas that are up to 1/8 of an inch. It looks as though the flooring was installed over plywood and I dont know what is under that.... I believe previous owner installed himself...... Is there anything I can do to save the existing floor or do I need to replace it.....NOTE: other than the separating the wood is not bowed in any way.....

We just got a new house which is unfortunately tiled with ceramic tile in our family room, where we will do most of our living. I have a 1 year old who is rough and dives from couch to couch. If he fell on his head on that ceramic tile, the results could be terrible.

Keep in mind, we are renting this house....

I was trying to find a throw rug to put on the floor but I found something called carpet tiles. It looks to be perfect for us because of the way I could "free hand" where I want to put the carpet. I think that this could be a perfect option for us, except for one concern.

How does this stuff stick to your floor AND would it ruin the perfectly good and beautiful ceramic tile underneath it? When we move out of this house, I want to leave their house in the exact condition that it was when we moved in.

Do you think it would be possible to lay these carpet tiles down without ruining the ceramic tile underneath? Also, are these carpet tiles very padded and coushy?

It's a Brother machine that's only a couple years old. It suddenly stopped working- you can hear the motor running, but the machine pulley won't budge and it won't sew. I keep pushing down on the presser foot but nothing happens. I don't know if it's because something went slack or loose in the machine itself. Please help me!

The float is fine. The rod that holds the float broke off at the screw end (which, also, is fine). All parts are (seemingly cheap) plastic. So, before I head off to Loews or Sears... can anyone tell me if they sell just the rods, or "rods-n-floats" sets, or will I need to buy an entire set of toilet guts just to get a new part? The rod and float assembly is in my car, so I can see what matches. I've looked on line, but nobody has addressed this issue....

I have a huge rock pile in the back of my house. It was left over from the prvious owners. I have been putting off constructing a patio for 2 years. I was wondering if anyone has any idea how to use the rock to build a patio. It would sure bring the pile down if I could pull it off. Im looking at making it 10 x 10 or 10 x 12. Any Ideas?

I am looking to buy a table saw in the near future. I'd kind of like to get one made in the US. Does anyone have a list of all the American manufacturers that make tablesaws. Price is not an issue.

I need something relatively cheap without a whole bunch of sawing involved. Preferably adjustable but not necessary.
