You'll get murder one for killing aunts. Doesn't matter whether you are a veggie or not. Won't even be admissable in court. Try talking it over with them before this last resort.

Aunts? Oh dear. I don't think you should kill your relatives! ha!
But, if you mean ants, I think your in a bit of a pickle. I'm also veggie, but ants are a pain and the only real justice is to kill them. You can't really do anything else. Ants leave a chemical trail wherever they go and this makes more ants follow. From there, you will only see more and more. Boric acid is a more natural way of trying to get rid of them, but I believe this still kills them. I never had much success with that, however and usually have to use the big guns...nasty chemical sprays. They are disgusting and horrible, but you don't need to use it more than a couple times a year and your ant problem will be gone. Sorry I can't help you save the ants!

The non-lethal way is keep the kitchen clean and all food well packaged-sealed. If your problem is out of control, you may have to use a poison such as "Terro" which is a slow release poison that is taken back to the nest and kills the entire colony. This is the most effective solution. You need to decide which is most important, ants or your concience.
Once the colony of ants knows where the restaurant is located, it is public knowledge amoung the entire colony.
Been there, hate killing anything, but gotta do what you have to.

Cute, and too that you noticed. without reading any answers I guess I would have said send them back to the Uncles.
Being a vegetarian, and having concern for living creatures isn'y strictly in the same defining mode, but to rid your home of ants you might determine first "What attracts them."??? Then, and with all due respect there are baits/traps, etc, that will allow that you don't actually see the effects.
A better way AFTER determining what might attract them, and perhaps locating points of entry would be to eliminate the attractant and block their access. I have to believe something as benign as Boric acid powder at thresholds, or places of access for the ants would turn them away.
Thank you though, for respecting life. I truly believe in the premise, ALL creatures, Great and Small, have purpose, reason, and sometimes we might just need to accept and tolerate.

Do you actually have an aunt problem or an ant problem??
There isn't any guaranteed way of getting rid of ants without poison or the exterminator, except to make sure your place is clean and that you don't leave any food out.
If you have a problem with your aunts, ask your uncles or other family members, but don't tell any one if you actually want to "get rid" of them.

Get some powder laundry detergent and make a puddy with water. Line the area where the ants are coming in (i.e. under the cabinets). I used this around my stove and under my cabinets over a year ago, and have not had them back. Hope this helps!

Wow!!! some question, but i guess you mean ants!!! Have you heard of turmeric powder?? it helps. it doesnot kill the ants it just repels them. when they have gone, seal up the entrances they use!! Turmeric, in it's purest form stains a deep yellow. I would suggest using it in moderation and on articles that can be washed clean!!

Ohhhh ANTS ;)
Try orange/citrus oil products. I use the spray bottle furniture type. They don't like to cross it and it makes them very agitated if they get near it. If you really don't want to kill them though be careful because it will kill them if you get it on them.
Oh also, you have to reapply it from time to time. I just spray it around window sills and door frames. Where ever it looks like they are trying to come in from.

I have never heard of an answer to your question that does not include killing them..There are many remedies but have yet to find any that work other than doing the dirty deed.
