Alright, I'm on my own right now since my husband is in Iraq and I have been trying to get the screens off the windows and I can't!!! How the h*ll do you get screens out of windows? I can unlock them and part-way take them out but then the edge of the window gets in the way of me taking it all the way off the window. I need about a milimeter more space to slide it all the way out. Is there a certain technique to gets these things out? I've never had to do it on my own before. I hope I explained this in a way people can understand and someone can help me out here. I feel like it is a simple thing that I am just making way more difficult than it actually is....

I'm talking actual windows here...on the house... that I look out of to see outside. This has nothing to do with computers, just my house!!

lift the screen up and out, with the little tabs at the bottom. don't try pulling it inside, yet. you need to keep a tight hold and push outward till the entire screen is free. then you can turn it diagonally to get it inside.
hope this helps.
P.S. tell your husband i said thanks for all his selfless service and dedication. i have a son-in-law in baghdad with the first cav (ooh-rah) just tell 'em to keep your head down, and your spirits up.

I believe you're asking how to close windows that yo uahve open on the desktop?

If so, you can hit ALT + F4. Don't do it now though. It'll close the window you're reading this on.

You want to click on the windows that are taking over your whole desktop and then hit it. Just keep doing it until they're all gone.

I hope this helps.

Good Luck!

are these your built in house windows or add on storm windows!! cuz if were talking about aluminum storm windows that have slide locks on each side and are screwed on from the outside of the house then the screens will not come out of those type of storm windows!!
