Hi susie, I am 70 years old. I am very active and have interest in many things.I have learned over the years that the best cure for boredom is to help some one. Volunteer at a womens shelter, help out a Girl Scout Troop,be a volunteer Tutor or Big Pal mentor. Help out your Religous orginization.
Just be a friend to a kid in your family or neighborhood.
When you are thinking about helping someone you don't have time to be bored.Hope this helps YOU.

Hello Susie,Well I'll tell ya,all you need is a hobby. My hobby is making Halloween props.I really enjoy it because it requires a lot of creativity. You see,its not the kids I'm out to scare, its the parents who believe they are safe if they just stay outside of the yard.ha ha,not likely mom and dad.I incorporate compressed air,air cylinders and dc electricity into my props.Kids come knocking on my door as early as August and September asking if i am setting up my yard this year and if i have any new creatures. Its fun, it keeps me busy and I'm never bored.Another thing you can do is enroll in some classes.I'm 44 years old and i just decided to go back to school.I'm pursuing a career in power engineering.I got bored with my trade as a machinist,so I began looking for other avenues to earn a living.Turns out that if I complete my 3rd level power engineers ticket ,I will be the new head engineer in our plant. It never hurts to explore all of the classes that are offered in college.I am sure glad that I did.Well that's my $.002.I hope that my responce to your question was helpfull and enlightening.Take care.

1- Make a long list of everything you can think of that you really like to do.
2- Next make another list of everything you know how to do or can learn how to do.
3- No break them down into things that are limited by season (weather and climate considerations)
4- Now you should have four (or two) shorter lists.
5- Research everything that combines two or more common ideas and costs involved.
6- Now you should have a good start (and should have taken a week or more to narrow down).
7- Be a perfectionist and whatever you choose to do, make it your best effort and put your heart into it.
Good luck & keep busy ! ! !

Well, you can read a good book, or article about something you are interested in. I f you can get outside take a walk, watch a good movie or visit a friend for good conversation. Yahoo answers is a good thing also, to pass time and learn something or answer a question.
