Me and my friends need to build a fake brick wal, because we're reconstructing the scene from Mallrats for one of our film classes. What would be the cheapest way to build a brick wall? (aside from finiding an actual brick wall)

i am not very good in this, but i'd imagine make four lines of wood - put them all together on the floor. Screw them together then put a board measured same type (do all the details of the measurements) and screw them four sides of the wood. then you can colour the bored and it won't show that it is around the wooden made thing.

i'm not sure, but seen some builders make this.
why don't you go:

There are basically two ways.

1. You can find fake bricks, which are only the face of bricks, and cement them to a board - I have done that in my house and it looked good.

2. I have also seen people take plywood and rout out a brick design and paint that. That will require someone who knows something about wood work. You can use 1x4 boards and a dado blade on the saw and do it that way also, then staggering the boards so that it looks like a brick wall. Anyone with a 100 buck table saw can do that.

check at Lowe's or Home Depot---there used to be a pressed wood sheet that was fake brick. I used a white with a grey mortar in my kitchen years ago.

Masonite corp. makes a panel that looks like red bricks. It can be nailed or glued to a wood frame. It is available at home centers.

Use red paper, the big rolls, and paint or draw deep black lines on it the size of bricks. Hang it over boxes or etc. Also you can add extra drawing to make them look more real.
