Sounds like you might have broken one or more of the wires, inside the plastic sheath. You will need a tester to find out which one isn't working.

The receptacles or wired in series. Start at the beginning. Turn on the breaker, check the first plug for power, if no power here, turn off breaker then go down the line one at a time and check. the wiring on each plug. Oh some wall plugs are controlled by a wall switch.If this is it, your going to feel like a fool.

In addition to all the other great anwers that you will get let me offer the weird one;
If you were using solid copper and if you stripped the wire using a pair of linesmans,and you wrapped the stripped end around the terminal screw, then is possible that you broke the wire and didn't realize it.
Also if you did a similiar stripping mistake and then spliced the stripped wire , the torque of the wire nut would cause it to break and you would never see it.
While this doesn't happen too often ,it does actually happen.

Did you relace the wiring, or did you just replace the receptacle.

If you just replaced the receptacle , test the two different wires to see if they have current in them.

If you replaced the wiring, do any of the receptacles work?

Narrow it down to what isn't working., is there a switch involved in your circuit? We need more info than what you gave, tell the whole story ,in detail of what you wanted to do, what you did do, and what doesn't work now that did work before you started this project.

Check all the GFI recepticles in the house. You'd be suprised how a gfi in the upstairs bath would controll so many receps elsewhere. Anyway reset all the gfi's in the house and recheck your new recep. If that doen't do it check all the other wiring make up on that circuit. It could be a wire came loose upline which caused you to need to replace this recep.

I have to assume you know what you're doing, as you did not give many details. Did you turn the breaker back on when you were done?
