I now have a hood over the stove which goes into a dryer hose (metal) with a fan on the end of it which blows a little heat upstairs. I was told by someone that I can put that same part into the furnace and have the heat go out of all my ducts that the furnace sends heat out of.

We are going to replace the gas fire and surround in the house we have just bought, but don't know what kind to choose.
Have seen a Kinder Kalahari that we like, but after doing a bit of research on the web, am now confused.
Have also seen a xl404 which is cheaper and has a higher heat output.
Can anyone give me some pointers and also if there is a comparison site anywhere on the internet...that might be helpful.
