OH OH this is a good one for me, I tried to do the same thing. Asked about what kind of paints etc. Then I painted my phone and everytime I would drop it or bump it, or maybe slide it it would flake off and eventually looked terrible. I wouldn't do it. And about the crystals, They easily come off too. Even with Super glue. I went back to buying faceplates lol.

Risky - if U get any paint into the holes you will destroy it.
I have used Nail Polish on landline phones - it dries in about 30 minutes, and the little brush makes it really easy to apply in patterns. You can certainly use it with craft glue, and it comes in very sparkly, irridecent, or shiny finishes. You can even get glow 9n the dark - espcially now around Halloween.

You will probably need to primer-coat it first so the layer of paint adheres properly. This reminds me of the time I tried to paint over cheap wood paneling and it didn't adhere bc I didn't know I needed a primer first!

Sure, why not? go for it. I would use acrylics, because acrylic paint is basically plastic too. You would need to finish with a protective spray to prevent scratches.
