Looking into bedding duvet covers online and the majority of the ones I like are from the UK and it says that their "UK King size" is not the same as a "US King size"... can anyone tell me what size in the UK would be comparable to a US King size?

THANKS!

We are building a house and I will finally get my own room!!! I was just wondering if anyone had any good decoration tips. What are some fun different ways to paint a room besides sponging and featherdusting?

We put laminate flooring thru-out our new house. They have done some cutting with a table saw and mudding some spots in the door frames and hall. I now have a floor full of saw dust and sanded off drywall mud on the floor. I tried using a damp washcloth (rung out as much as I could, so it didn't drip) but there are now smear marks on the floor and the shine is gone. What can I do it get it back?

I'm remodeling my room this summer with a hippie theme. I could use any do it yourself ideas. I'm looking for some real originality here, parents don't care as long as I pay for everthing so I'm on a pretty low budget. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a graduate student with more books than bucks; I would like to have some bookshelves that don't necessarily reflect my financial status, and so I have decided the cheapest way is to use a board/cinder block technique. That said, how can I make some shelves that will work well? Are there more attractive ways to space the shelves than the blocks? A way to treat them, or perhaps paint them, make a cover, etc. Any other good ideas on how to assemble a cheap (<$20-$30) bookshelf that won't look atrocious?

We are moving into a HUGE ne house. The living area is very nice sized. Our style is contemporary. Almost everything we have is black, white and silver. We have black leather couches,a nd alll of our pics and stuff on the wall is black and white. I want to paint the walls like a sage green color, but my husband thinks that will look crappy. Oh yeah- and he hates red, so don't even mention a shade of it. Need color suggestions!!!

I don't care what it costs .... I've tried every toilet seat .... oak ( Tthese are too heavy and fall like a guilotine) ........ padded --- most of these rip ....... plastic - too cold. What I am looking for is a toilet seat that is inclined to stay up on its own, but more importantly is comfortable to sit on ..... What is the best toilet seat out there ??

I purchased some hanging vases and candle holders. They did not come with the string to hang them. When I went back to the website it said:
"Top glass loop can suspend globe via filament (not included) in singles, multiples or chandelier style."

Does anyone know where I can buy this filament? If not, any other suggestion on what I can use to hang them? TIA.
This is the product so you get an idea

I live in Charlotte, NC.
I am looking for information about what the average cost of a stamped concrete patio would cost in this area. I recently moved from Southern California, where I think landscaping was more reasonably priced. Not knowing the avg costs here I would appreciate some guidance.
The stamped portion of the patio is 14' x 20' with a 7' x 13' walkway.
The plain concrete portion (driveway extension) is 20'x6'
We plan to hire a contractor to do the whole thing, what on average should we expect to pay?
Thanks
