scotch brand makes command strips for sticking hooks on any surface, that are easily removed, and leave no residue. we use them all over the house for holiday decorations.

If magnets don't work it's not stainless steel. Steel is iron based, therefore, ferromagnetic, meaning magnets will stick to it. It must be a polished aluminum. Go to a teachers supply store and get some stuff called 'sticky tack'. It looks like 'silly putty' and will stick to almost anything and not leave marks.

there is stuff out there that comes in a ball and looks like bubble gum, but it will hang things on the fridge without making a huge mess! It is washable and you can reuse it over and over till it no longer works...it will also last for quite a while. I don't remember what it is called though...sorry
