Color blue or sea green, wicker accents like wastebaskets or if you have room, a nice wicker chair for guests. Go to the hobby store and buy a bag of shells and a framed mirror or Caribbean picture. Glue the shells on the frame to cover. Palm tree (can be fake) or other similar type plant. Plenty of white and colorful accents.

A Caribbean theme will look absolutely stunning! Blue and white would be a good basic color scheme and would keep the area simple. Alternatively, it would be fun to bring in warmer colors to really accentuate the theme. Reds, oranges, yellows, pinks would all be good for this. Steer clear of the super bright and neon shades!
The best way to decide on a color scheme, in my own opinion, is to find one or two accessories that you want to the focal point of the room. Perhaps some ocean themed artwork, a candle arrangement or other accessory. Once you have decided on this, have a look at the color(s) of the accessory and work from there.
I am an independent representative of Home & Garden Party and we have some wonderful Caribbean/ocean themed accessories available. Take a look at the online catalog (or contact me for your own copy).
Best wishes,
Victoria

Paint it a beautiful shade of blue, like the sky. Then decorate with Tiki statues and face masks on the walls
