We have a 12X12 Bedrooom, the window faces the highway and I would like to add a new curtain to it. As of now I have a pice of thin wire and a sheet hanging.

Measure your window and buy pressure rods, they have a spring in them and will work perfect, no nail holes and very sturdy.
I have bought them at Big Lots and dollar stores or Lowes or Home Depot.

I agree with the pressure rod ( sometimes they're called
Spring Tension Rods) idea, personally, but for another
option you could hang a regular curtain rod on the wall
to the side of the window opening. Wouldn't look as nice,
though.

I also have a bay window...in my family room...I bought three rods...those black or silver metal ones you can get at LOWES with pretty finials...I installed a rod above each window ( two small ones for the side windows and one long one for the middle windows ) ...I butted the rods together leaving the 4 inside ends finial free...then I only put the finials on the outside ends...making it look like one continuous rod that bends across all 4 windows...Hard to explain...but it was very effective...Good luck!

There are special brackets and rods for bay windows. I'll post a site for you to look at. You can purchase them at Home Depot, Lowe's, and I think Penney's carries them, too (U.S.)
