I have a Brother's Computerized EX660 sewing machine. I am making a heart pillow with the word Amour (in cursive) on the front. The problem is that I do not know how to sew it on. The pattern tells me after I transfer the lettering, pin the braid over the lettering and sew. Well I do not have a embroidery machine or the embroidery pressure foot, but I have a monogramming pressure foot. I do not want to sew this by hand. Please give me some advice on how to sew this braid on the pillow.

I want to give my bro and his wife a good Christmas present with a mirrorball in the basement of their new home. what would be an easy way to get the mirrorball reflecting a light somewhere throughout the room, but not really a bright light that wouldnt be hard to set up in about an hour or so? Thanks for your input! \

ive thought about a dark espresso brown or a cream color? but im not sure what other colors might look better. theres a ton of trim in this room--the house ie very old and has huge baseboards, crown molding and elaborate door and window frames. theres also a built-in window seat--should it be painted the same as the rest of the trim? also, ceilings are 9'6" high

I am buying a furniture set in perfect condition. The only problem is it looks like something from the Golden Girls. Besides updating the handles I don't know what to do. The headboard has this gold band down the middle which matches the handles. I dont think I can paint because it is so glossy. All ideas appreciated, thanks!

It seems like they only are being done on the west or east coasts- I'm in Upper Michigan and I definitely have a challenge for them. But, you never see anything in our neck of the woods. I have been to their web pages and they limit the areas that they go to.

I bought a small roll top desk at a second hand store. It is in good shape, but I want to refinish it (strip paint, sand, and repaint with an anitqued look). I have no idea on how to address the roll part of the desk. Is there anyway to take the roll off/out and get into the little crevices? Any help would be much appreciated, since I don't have any experience with refinishing furniture.

Ive ripped up the fake tile, and have had brand new cabinets with granite counter tops installed. I am seriously interested in oak flooring and have already put down the deposit. Do i have the hardwood flooring - engineered- placed under the dishwasher - not yet purchased or even picked out - the fridge, and the stove or do I stop the wood flush against the edges of the appliances? Does having wood under the kitchen appliances create a hazzard? My floor is currently bare cement now. Thanks for all information. I would appreciate people who either have personally installed the wood or those who have benefitted from the installation.

building. Our hearth has always been too small. We want to use the Malachite, it would be so impressive but I need to know if malachite is strong enough to handle the heat and pressure of being walked on. We know how to install it, I'm just questioning the stone itself.

The tile in my bathroom has a burgundy rose in the middle. I was wondering what color would go well with burgundy? I was thinking either yellow, cream, brown, or green. I would like to get a rug and a toilet cover. Right now I have a burgundy shower curtain. I would like to have two colors in my bathroom rather than just burgundy and white. Would pink go well or yellow? Not sure on the colors.

And also my kitchen tile is has a blue rose in the middle, would a blue and yellow kitchen look good? Or what would go with blue? My countertop is kind of dark, it's a light black with light marble in it. Thanks for your help!

THe bed has pegs at the top. My grandfather wrapped only ropes around it and used a straw ticking on the top. I have read it is instead a bed that was made for a sack base. If so, how do I tell the age of this bed?
