If you look down inside the vent pipe, find out what size it is. Alot of times it will be 6" round that converts into a rectangular duct boot. They make several sizes of boots to adapt to what you have and make a 90 degree turn to exit in front of the vanity cabinet in the toe kick plate. Then you snap in a 3x10 vent grille. Most of the home stores will have what you need. Take a few pictures with a digital camera and take them in with you. Believe me, this will be a great help when you are trying to get the right materials. To extend the duct shouldn't cost you much for the parts. Remember when installing the vanity cabinet, and it's time to drill for the water and drain lines: Measure twice, cut once. You may have to remove the shutoff valves if they come out of the floor. If they come out of the wall, it depends on how particular you are about the size of the hole in the back of the vanity to go over the pipe. Some vanities have no back. Just something else to think about before you go buying an expensive vanity cabinet and find out you have to cut holes in it with the possibility of screwing it up. Happens to the best of 'em. Good Luck.

Yeah, just put another vent under the cabinet door, so the heat goes through the vent in the wall, travels under the floor of your cabinet, then out the other vent in front (or on the side) of the cabinet. My parents have something similar in their bathroom. It's nice because it keeps your feet warm when you're using the sink!

you can install the cabinet over the vent and cut a hole in the kick plate at the bottom of the cabinet. put a grill over the hole and the heat will come out. it is done all the time. you may need to duct the register to direct the heat to come out the front, but it should not be so hard.

extend the vent with vent ducting and cut a hole in the side of the cabinet, it will still work as a vent then, and you won't be covering it up.

Sure. We have a vent that comes out the kick plate. It's nice on the feet. You can cut the kickplate and run the vent out there.
