I have a Brother's Computerized EX660 sewing machine. I am making a heart pillow with the word Amour (in cursive) on the front. The problem is that I do not know how to sew it on. The pattern tells me after I transfer the lettering, pin the braid over the lettering and sew. Well I do not have a embroidery machine or the embroidery pressure foot, but I have a monogramming pressure foot. I do not want to sew this by hand. Please give me some advice on how to sew this braid on the pillow.

There should be a ribbon type foot available. It is basically a foot that sews decorative chords etc. Short of buying that, I would keep the presser foot up, the feed dogs up and guide it by hand. As long as you go slowly you should be able to get a nice even stitch.
Good luck!

in straightforward terms a thought - in the beginning verify your stitch length - appears like your stitch length must be too short. so short it relatively is seems your stitches are not shifting in any respect. additionally, verify that your feed canines is in place - your feed canines could be switched 'off' it relatively is actual meant for device embroidery - whilst that's in action the presser foot is inactive and you will pull your fabric around the shifting needle to make sewing varieties and designs freehand. in case you have an education e book then consult with this in any different case the feed canines is oftentimes a change or dial discovered on the decrease element of your device (i.e. no longer on the top dials) wish this facilitates ya!

DON'T use hot glue - what if it needs to be washed??? - Check the different types of pressure feet that came with your machine - if there's not one with a small groove on the bottom - I would change the "pressure" on the pressure foot. so it's not so hard. Lifting the pressure foot alltogether would prob result in threads binding up as it regulates thread tension..
