I have a piece of embroidary that needs framing. it is more than 45 inches long. I wanted to put it on a piece of silk then frame it with wood. it is quite costly to do it professionaly. Anyone has any idea if I can do it myself?

My mom is trying to become a interior designer and as a project she is going to design my room to look like i am in the middle of a garden and she wants me to look for flowers but i need your help. as my room will be painted like a garden at sunset, i would like the flowers tie in with a sunset. like morning glories calla roses, or even something that has nothing to do with it but are just unique and pretty like bleeding hearts (this is a real flower) they don't have to tie in with a sunset though. thank you so much for the help!!!

I know it is white, but is there a specific kind of white paint that is used? Does anyone have the specifics so I can get the exact shade? Can paint stores match you up with the exact shade if you have a paint chip?

I have the exterior walls insulated, wired and vapour sealed. The insulation stops are in place in the rafters. I am ready to insulate and vapour the ceiling. Should i install a garage door opener before or after the ceiling is finished? Does it matter which is done first? Please help........
Oh, i also have wired the garage totally for all lights and plug ins, there are already power sources at both door opener areas.

For my new bedroom, I want all red accents (comforter, rugs, etc.) and want to do shocking yellow walls with it. I'll have Broadway posters all over my walls. What do you think about it? Do the colors clash?

I would like to build a 14' x 22' additon on to my home and I would like to have a licenced local contractor to show me how ( so I can learn ) but also, I can only afford to buy the materials needed. I cannot afford the labor. I would be willing to work and to help ( evenings and weekends ) I want to build this addition for my wife but I cannot afford what some of the local contractors charge. Any suggestions ? I am not afraid of hard work ( I currently work two jobs ), but I am trying to see if I can find a honest - possibly retired - contractor who has experience building homes / renovations. Any answers would be greatly appreciated. I live in Shamokin Dam, PA

I am looking at couches and all the stores are showing Microfiber (feels like suade) couches. I have it down to two couches both are microfiber but I'm not sure it they will hold up to wear. One of them is almost white and I'm afraid the fuzzy part will wear off or it will stain. One of the guys at the furniture store said that he tells everyone who buys a regular couch to get the stain treatment but not on a microfiber couch because it won't stain. Is this true? Anyone have a microfiber couch? Help please.

We are in the process of stripping layers of old paint off our wood window frames. We started off with a spray and now I see that it wasn't such a good idea and isn't heavy duty enough. So I actually have a few questions. Should I go with a gel stripper? Or something else? (We tried a heat gun some time ago, and while it worked, it was time consuming). And how easily should the paint come off if the stripper is working? The stuff we applied is requiring a lot of muscle to remove and we had hoped going the chemical route was going to make getting it off much easier. Any help is much appreciated!

Thinking about decorating my bedroom. I want cream wall paper, but someone said its quite modern to have one wall a differnt color, like maybe a dark brown or mocha brown. would that be nice or would it look weird? i will be getting a new bed and its going to be one of those faux dark brown leather ones with a leather headboard like in a hotel lol. my carpet is cream.i dont have one clear wall, as in one i have a window, the other a main window, the other the door, and the other has a fitted wardrobe on it. so would the feature wall work? Also was thinking could you have a "floating desk"? like a floating shelf but to put my tv, dvd player, digital on will it hold the weight? i just want a modern room! theres so much clutter. i want simplicity. What surface would be good? really i only need one set of drawers. any designers or decoraters that could give me some advice? thanks very much!! x
