You will certainly have a "warm colored" room!! Just remember: Flat based paints absorb light more than gloss paints do. So, for a "shinier" room, go for gloss paints. No, the colors don't clash. They're right next to each other in the color spectrum. The yellow walls would give the room an inviting feel. The red comforter, rug and throw pillows would also give a slightly inmate feel to the room. Put on a little Marvin Gaye and sandal wood incense,a and voila! Instant "my very own personal meditation and relaxation room, with a little lovin' for me on the side" room!!

shades of red and yellow work beautifully together. be warned that choosing a yellow paint color is very tricky...probably the hardest color to choose. i would recommend going with a yellow with more orange/gold in it than you think you want.lol...or you may be surprised with what you thought was the "perfect" color on a swatch or in the store...may look quite lemony on the walls.
fortunately most major painting companys now sell sample paints($3 to $5 each) and it may be worth your time and effort to buy a couple and paint some sample boards(foam board or poster board). then hang the boards for a couple days on different areas of the wall, and view at different times of the day.
have fun!

Definitely awesome! If you wanted a less clashing sound... Go with Red wine and Mediterranean Cream. That would be for a nice, classy look. Otherwise if you want to drown your room into the '80's' style, choose cherry reds, apple, mango (fruit reds) and as for yellow, go straight out with sunshine yellows or banana yellows. Remember to: Have Fun! :)

This seems like a fun idea. Make sure the posters are framed in black and introduce it in some other way in your room. You don't want to give it a "circus feel".Black will subdue and tone down these strong colors....Just a thought.. allot of French bistro posters use those colors quite often.

they are both very warm colors and you may like the idea now but you will get tired of it after a little while . calm cool colors tend to stick longer . if you did red n yellow accents with a more neutral wall color that might be easier

great colors, use flat for a more subdued look or eggshell for a shinier finish, or semi gloss for a shocking look. Eggshell and semi gloss are washable, flat is not
