The doors open outwards so that will not be a problem but there are windows on either side of the door so I am wondering where the panels will go when opened to accomodate getting out the door.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I could decorate my sons room?

he is 8 and wanted a race car room. I have painted his room red and put black and white checkered lightswitch,big checkered flag on the wall and race car comforter, a poster of Dale jr, and a dale jr pendent on the wall. we have textured walls so I am limited to wallpaper border cause it wont stay. Does anyone have any ideas that arent expensive that i can put on the walls or any ideas?

Does anyone know the standard size for a pipe organ?

I need it to make a furniture plan for an architectural drawing. Does anyone know just the standard size? I'm having trouble finding it.

Grout for floor tiles - what color grout?

I just had new white/gray ceramic tiles placed in my basement. The grout color that the contractors used was beige.
1) Is this an appropriate color to use?
2) If I don't like the color is there something I can use to change the color now that the grout is set already?
3) Is there some protecting spray or liquid that I'm supposed to use on the grout to prevent it from staining?

Need ideas for decorating my home.?

Okay, so I've never been a "home-maker" except for keeping a clean home.

Not many pictures on the walls, shades but no curtains on the windows...

Hubby and I used to never be at home, so we didn't care too much...now we have children, and I want the house to look like a home.

Ideas will GREATLY be appreciated!

Am I a snob? I was in IKEA with two trolley loads of flat pack furniture,?

I saw a gay guy in the queue and I hid because I didn't want him telling others, "That puffs house is IKEA'd" Tell me is it still OK to shop there cause, I think not.

Is it true that it's a fire hazard to put a door at the bottom of stairs?

We have a huge loft upstairs that I want to make my room and I want my privacy, someone that came by said he couldn't put a door because it is a fire hazard, is this true? Some attics that are rooms have doors at the bottom, why is this any different? If it is true, how can I go around it to add a door or something for some privacy?

how do you make a garage "livable"...we need a makeshift playroom.?

i have an empty bare clean garage. there's an opening up near the roof, but i can cover that up or leave it. and the washer and dryer are set up in the garage aswell. its a single car garage and i dont ever put the car in it. so i wanted to turn it into a "room" without converting it, because i'm renting the house, i dont own it. so how can i do this? how can i cool it next summer (i would use a heater to heat it in the winter) is this a bad idea? or with some creativity can it be done? the kids would love a play room!

should my throw pillows match on all couches?

I am in a decorationg bind! i have a couch and a love seat(both black suede) i want to add throw pillows on both so these one pillows i like have a design and i was gonna put the matching design ones on the bigger couch with a set of solid color pillows but should the loveseat have the same pillows with the design or would it look funny with that couch just having solid color ones?
