Pergo wouldn't be terribly cold in the winter because it floats and is surfaced (assuming it is traditionally installed) over a sheet of styrofoam like material that acts as a barrier for comfort...so because the pergo would be in a direct bonded contact with the slab, I would say it would be fine. I would prefer carpet because in a master you are more than likely always walking around barefooted and nothing feels better than carpet.

Pergo flooring is warm and homey in a master bedroom. Use with accent rugs that blend with your decor, such as bedding and draperies. Placing one beside each side of the bed so when you wake up each morning your feet hit the warm rug first... also one at the foot of your bed makes your bed become the focal point. Pergo flooring in your master bedroom is also helpful with those who may have allergies. What good taste you have to even be considering pergo vs. carpeting !

Hardwood is best but if the choice is Pergo or carpet I would go with Pergo.

Pergo is very nice but you have to be careful with what you clean it with, it tends to bevel up sometimes too after installation..I don't think the temp would be much of a problem..carpet for bedroom would still be nicer.

I have only wood floors in my house, with accent rugs in some places. I like them in summer, and you can use slippers in winter if the feel bothers you.
Non-carpeted floors keep less dust, which is why I like my wood floors. Carpet holds everything in till shampooed.

It would look great and if you want something cozy underfoot in the winter, put down an area rug which would also be an asset to the decor of the room.
