Church services are usually once a week where Ikea is open all week long. My point is that a person will go to church on sunday (once) but will go to ikea to buy crappy DIY furniture then come back to return it (twice) thus registering as twice as many people passing through the doors of Ikea

If you shop at IKEA you are very definitely NOT a Snob,,,in fact,,, in my opinion,,, you are the farthest thing from it,,, that isn't strictly a compliment,,but not meant to offend you.
In the USA,,and perhaps this opinion makes me a snob??? I equate IKEA to WALMART,,, and would never own anything with an IKEA name on it.

Well, get you.
If millions of people shop there then theoretically it's a common shop (I believe that millions of people shop at M&S and Harrods and Tesco and Asda [well perhaps not Asda]) - it doesn't make the goods they sell common too.
It's all about materialism today - I can spend a fiver in TK Maxx on a Hamnett T-shirt or I can go and get exactly the same t-shirt from the Hamnett Shop for £45 - it just doesn't make sense to do the latter, does it?

Again, who cares what people think of you! If you enjoy shopping at IKEA and that is all you can afford, so what.
I personally love IKEA.

If you like shoping there and are happy with what you purchase ...then Don't worry about what others think....its your house/your space and therefore your choice.... and you should not feel ashamed to furnish it with whatever you like...
