"The basic color palette comes from the landscape. The main colors earthy tones like olive green, terracotta, deep browns and blues and gold. Terra cotta reds and oranges are the most important shades. Terra cotta is used as a neutral shade. Walls painted with a shade of terra cotta which set the stage for Tuscan decorating. Colors cannot be played around with, the need is to be using the color the way it can be best suited. It is very essential that the color goes with the room texture, environment, atmosphere, the requirement and so on."

Paint it a warm creamy color and then sponge or rag on a light golden yellow to resemble aged plaster. Along the ceiling line and in the upper corners "bounce" your brush that has a trace of a medium brown which will make it look even more aged as if centuries of dust have collected there.

Use a muted light brown color kind of like parchment paper on one wall. Make the second wall olive green and the third terracotta. Good luck!

What are you cabinets like? If they are wood toned, medium to dark. Try a color by Porter Paints called Autumn Sun. Accent with the red family, very rich very tuscan.
