It depends exactly on what you're talking about and you haven't given us much to go on, but I'll give you a few ideas. It would be easier if I knew what your own designs are on...

1. You can paint your own designs on furniture. If your fabric is smooth enough, you can prime the existing fabric with an oil primer or fabric paint primer. Then, all you have to do is use fabric paint to paint your designs on.

2. You can reach Tandem Numerique here in Quebec city, Canada and they can print your own designs on fabric and then you can reupholster with that fabric....

Not much info to go on, but a few basic tips.
You should always make a pattern for your sofa first. Perhaps one is available from a fabric store already. Otherwise get some cheap cotton muslin and create your own. Hopefully you sew. Otherwise this project will be a painful one. Lay paper on you furniture and trace where the seams are, cut it out leaving an extra 1/2 inch for allowances label the pattern like A B C D (different sides) so that you can fit it together properly. Transfer this to muslin, cut it and sew it, drape over furniture and make adjustments. Once your pattern works use your own fabric (if you've created it or painted it and to place on the paper pattern. Finaly strip the fabric off your old furniture and make any repairs or adjustments. Add new batting, extra foam or what ever. then attach your fabric to your furniture and attach with staple gun. Use cording or tacks to embelish and hide imperfections. It is best to start on a simple object and progress. Perhaps your community college has a seminar, or you can call a furniture company and spend and afternoon watching. Many will be happy to do this.
