We are thinking about resale value and wonder if we should replace the flooring on the main living area with hardwood. It now has a carpeted living room and laminate in the foyer and dining room. My husband thinks he can do the floor himself.

The walls are a medium beige, the trim and cabinets are white...
Home is a medium priced (in our area) starter home. I am doing this to sell fast and make money... I also want the buyer to be pleased, I do quality work, and don't want to ruin it all with bad taste...

I have a small desk in a tiny room. I want a black leather chair but I don't know which kind to get. I'm thinking one of those solid chairs that swivels and looks sleek and is perfect for resting or an office chair.

I was thinking about the Malung from Ikea, and I'm up for suggesstions for an office chair. I would like to spend under $200

We have a one car port in our home that we were interested in enlcosing and make it a game room. Though someone told me that this would actually decrease the home's value. Does this make any sense at all?

When I watch HGTV shows that feature homes with prices that shock me. A $200,000 home in Delaware costs $60,000 where I live. Why the big discrepancy? Is it because land is so scarce in those areas?

i want to take a wall out in my home. Its a wall that seperates two rooms (of course), but i dont want too remove the whole wall just a space about as wide as double swing french doors. My question is ...........Is it hard to do? Do you just cut the drywall and find the studs and cut the studs and brace or do you call a contractor? I just want the passage way to create a more spacey feel and look.

We're building a new extension onto our house and soon I'll have a new room. I was wondering what I should paint the walls and trim, and what color carpet will be best. I want it to go with my bedspread.

My bedspread is all pastel colors, striped blue, white, pink, green, and yellow. The blue stripes are the thickest and most noticeable. I want the flooring to be something that could easily go with different colors, like, if I deciede to change my bedspread and paint the walls a different color a few years from now. But it CAN'T be white, because white gets dirty too easily and I don't think I'll have enough time to clean it :(

What should I do?

please check the following link for information about Paloma's WaiWela tankless water heaters. I am considering purchasing the outdoor model. We are a family of three and are expecting to expand to four in near future. We have a dishwasher, kitchen sink, 2 bathroom sinks, and 2 full baths. I wouldn't expect more that 2 or three of those requiring hot water at any given time. We live in south west USA at 4000' and experience winters with 10 degree lows. Any and all feedback welcomed and appreciated
