An ante room is a small private room or vestibule adjacent to or adjoining a larger public meeting or dining space. The Ante Room provides a space for the host to prepare or conduct private business away from the larger party or congregation.

Non sure if there is an official definition but an Ante room would be like a Judges private chamber behind (ante) the courtroom. You don't see it much in private homes except in mansions. I've never heard it called Master's bedroom. A den is pretty much the same thing as a family room IF you already have a main living room, although it usualy is more of a male refuge. A library room with a fireplace could be a den or a trophy room with animal heads on the wall. That's a den. It's a place for the man to relax since these days he doesn't have any other room in the house.
