I have a pair of white pants and I want to dye them red. What is the best way? Should I use my washing machine or the sink? I bought some rit dye yesterday.

I think permanent fabric adhesive was used--but was used with a very heavy hand so that the material became saturated. Now the entire hems are as stiff as cardboard---not a pretty look. :(

I kept it in a suitcase and when i opened it , it was a mess. How do i iron out the wrinkles. I tried to keep a cotton cloth on top and iron it with a steam iron, but did not help much. Any other creative ideas?

I have been struggling along with a 5kg max load washing machine, for a family of 6, for several years and have finally decided to treat myself to a large load washing machine. Trouble is, I can't decide which one would be best for me as there is not a lot of information or any reviews on them, so i wondered if anyone had any personal experience of using one and could point out any good or bad points for the one they have.

It would also be useful to know how long the main cycles last. Any feedback at all would really be appreciated.

Thanks.

The cleaners accidentally used heavy starch on a shirt and even after a couple of washings, the shirt is very stiff? Any ideas how to treat or just keep washing & it will eventually rinse out?

If a shirt says it can be washed cold or dry cleaned, will dry cleaning help prevent fading?

I have kids 6, 2, and 11 months. Although there is tons of work to do in the home, I feel like the majority of the time is spent doing for them (dressing them, changing diapers, feeding and entertaining). I get frustrated trying to find activities that will include all 3, because usually it doesn't work. I don't want to become uncaring and just turn them over to the tv, video games, and computer, but it seems like they are happier doing that stuff. When I'm trying to do fun things and play with them , they seem so unappreciative... how can I enjoy them more and not feel so obligated to be this "supermom"? I'm blessed to have them and to be able to stay home, but some days I just want to scream (today being one of those days). I'd rather be cleaning the toilet than listening to the complaints and nonsense.....

I inherited a very nice bedroom set. But, the person who gave it to me was a heavy smoker. I would like to know what I can use to get ride of the smoke smell? Although I believe the outside of the pieces are sealed, the insides are not.
