Does anyone know how to remove glued hems?

I think permanent fabric adhesive was used--but was used with a very heavy hand so that the material became saturated. Now the entire hems are as stiff as cardboard---not a pretty look. :(

use a steam iron and get them really steamy and then pull aprt

try with your iron the heat will loosen the glue
