If a shirt says it can be washed cold or dry cleaned, will dry cleaning help prevent fading?

It's a 97% cotton 3% spandex blend.

Yes it will. I have two shirts made from the same material. I use one to just kick around in, but I do use the other for work and I HATE to iron, so I have some of my clothes dry cleaned. After 6 months, the dry clean one looks new still and the other one is a hunk-o-crap. LoL.

Yes, because the fluid in the dry cleaning machines is a lot less harmful to the shirt then the washer.

Yes it will silk is best to dry clean If you gave more info on the fabric i can tell you more. Washing makes it smell better.

The specific place you go for dry cleaning may use detergents that promote fading. Make sure you consult your dry cleaner before if you are not sure.
