I have a solid plate hob on my electric cooker - it's NOT ceramic or halogen - what's the best way to clean the plates? Thanks!

Well just a word of advice as far as cooking plate area themselves are concerned. On a cooking hob, or a two plate mini-oven the cooking plates tend to later become a bit odd looking or finely rusty. What not to do: Do not use the product that is commercially available in supermarkets and that claims to renew your plate and make it rust free again (in a tube). That stuff is terrible, and I will never touch it again in my life. The product actually is a kind of silver metallic paint, that firstly mess a lot in applicating; the end-product looks a bit space age; and after a short time of usage, this paint coat wears away and the plates are back to old times.

Hob Brite works - purely stick to slightly with some kitchen towel - enable it to soak in for a minute or 2 and wipe it away - you could ought to reapeat if burn is undesirable. If nevertheless have worry - as i found out to my fee via doing the comparable as you - you could ought to apply the sting of a Stanley Knife blade - yet be certain you carry IT AT a minimum of 30 stages - and gently slide it around the burnt on mark - it is going to take it off - yet do it gently

I have them too and hate them as they look all rusty. From time to time I rub them with a wire scrubber or stiff brush to remove the rust and give them a rub over with a damp cloth. I bought a cloth from betterware that claims to make them look new again - yes it does, but the results only last a dau- First time you use the ring it's back to looking rotten again. I suppose you could use it if you were selling your house!
