You can use Lime Away, CLR or Tilex Soap & Scale remover. All will work well, unless the hard water has etched the glass. My glass shower enclosure etched before I installed my softener. You call tell if the glass is etched if when you take a razor blade and scrape it against the haze, nothing comes off on the blade. Then, you like me, are either stuck with it, have to replace it or can opt to have it permanently etched.

Hey
I know products on the market can be dear so like the others have said try the white vinegar, leave fr thirty mins and wipe with some vigour (like yr angry with it!) where you have applied it. If it hasnt gt better than apply some more and let it to work over night then in morn when u in shower rinse off with the high speed setting on yr shower. If still doesnt work mix the bicarb, lemon and vinegar in a container and allow cloth to soak in it for a few mins squeeze until only a little wet and give it aonther scrub. If still doesnt work then use a harder sponge something with a rough texture like those hard wearing pot scourers. (mine are orange thin things that come in a pack for 30p or something!)
If the worst comes to the worst then you may have to invest in a good commercial cleaner.
My advice would be to use this first-follow exactly what it says on bottle, and if it hasnt worked follow with vinegar. Dont panic if you dont see results straight away you may need to repeat the treatments.
Once its looking like its on the all clear keep the expensive stuff in yr cupboard and use the vinegar and lemon to clean every other day and use it in house esp in the kitchen. But make sure you set aside a couple of hours a week to do a clean round and you will find that you wont have nearly as much limescale and dirt in the house to clean.
INSURE that after you have used whatever concoction you are using that you wipe over with a clean wet sponge or rinse using the shower head or a jug filled with water. Warm first and then cold (or you cud jst go to cold if u cant be arsed to rinse it twice).
Always wipe your windows or surfaces starting with the top first and working down to insure that yr cleaning is hygenic and that you are nt spreading germs.

To get a good shine on yr windows get a piece of news paper in each hand and rotate on the shower screen in circular motions dont worry if paper gets wet do until the window is dry-use more sheets if needed. (Rememeber karate kid wax on wax off???!!!!)

Anyway I hope that helps mate.
Get back to me if u need some more help.

Try Cillit Bang grime and lime, it should work if you leave it for a while.

At work (lifeguard) we have this stuff called scale away which you dilute with water and leave on the surface for up to twenty mins then rinse off, it takes one or two goes but really works. I don't know if you can get it for domestic use though :/.

My nan uses vinegar, if you do this make sure you use white vinegar. I wouldn't leave it on for longer than 20 mins either coz of the acidity, but it works. It smells a bit though, but makes things sparkle. Her words, not mine!

Good luck.

I find the best thing to use is 1/2 a cup of lemon juice mixed together with 1/2 a cup white vinegar put into a suitable container.
This method should do the job, and will not cost you a fortune, and can be used in other areas of the house.

I have the same problem and find it's easiest to clean after you've had a shower and it's a bit steamy - loosens the dirt. Put some white vinegar on a damp cloth and wipe all over then dry with a microfibre cloth - they are great as they are really absorbent and dont leave bits of lint on the glass.

To remove first>>>
White vinegar, a natural water softener that also dissolves dirt and grease. Mix equal portions of warm vinegar and salt. Smear thickly over the screen, leave overnight and scrub off the next day.

Then to keep clean>>>

Halve or quarter a lemon and rub over the screen, squeezing the lemon as you do it. Wipe over the the screen with a damp cloth and then with a dry one. That is the way I clean my shower screen and my taps to rid them of limescale. I carry this task out weekly. It is cheap, safe and convenient - and it works.
