I am needing to buy new khaki pants, but I don't want to buy "wrinkle free" pants because they always feel stiff and not as comfortable as the ones I currently have (Polo chinos). The problem is that they always become wrinkled all but immediately after sitting down.

Would starching them help reduce the wrinkles, or am I just going to have to buy "wrinkle free" khakis?

I have an active 2 year old and an 11 month old, who barely leaves my side. We have a 2 level home, so I'm constantly going up and down the stairs. As I'm trying to get something, like bathrooms cleaned, the girls are right there and that grosses me out, because they like to touch everything. Suggestions???

I have acquired some cast iron pots that gets rusty when I use them. The food sometimes gets discoloured if I do not remove it quickly. Also when I wash and store them the tend to get rust.

In this busy world, most people (including my partner and I) work full-time, and hardly have time to smile at each other, let alone spend time together... inevitably, this also means that our house is not as clean as either of us would like it to be, because we just don't have the motivation to spend our 1.5 days off work cleaning.

So...

1. How often would you like someone to come and clean your house? (me: probably once a fortnight)
2. How much would you like them to do? (me: vaccuuming, cleaning bath room & kitchen probably)
3. How much would you be willing to pay? (around $50 per visit)
4. How would you go about finding a trust worthy company to take care of it? (no idea! yellow pages or internet i guess).

I'm just curious to know if there are other people like me out there.

Under the sink there are water valves (one with the red knob and the other with the blue)....If i connect my hose there will i have to unscrew the screw on the knob to let water pass?????Or do i need any additional materials??

I always just wash our white socks with the other white clothing and throw them in the dryer. I know that my grandmother used to scrub the socks by hand and hang them in the sun, but I just don't have the time for all that. Also, I almost never use any kind of bleach because I'm afraid it will wear down the fabric.
Is it wrong for me not to be worried about how white our socks are?

By the way, it's a looong story as to why I'm asking and that would have to be submitted under a whole different category. ;)

I work as a waitress in a restaurant, and every night come home smelling horrible. Usually a shower gets rid of the smell, but my hands still smell terrible afterward. Even after washing them a million times with all kinds of soap, they still smell. I've tried lemon too, but it didn't do much either.

What will get rid of the smell?

Ok I have been doing this for a week, I need to know how much sewing machines went for back in 1855 to 1920. I have looked all over including Sears and Roebuck. Does anyone have relatives that are about 100 years old that can help answer that question?
