My 6 yr old ran her "wet" nails across our new bar stools. If I use normal nail polish remover I feel it will harm the leather and make it worse. Anyone got any ideas?

Hi - I need some help. It is a total mystery...

I have been using the same deodorant (roll on, not anti-perspirant) and laundry liquid for years, yet three weeks ago I did my washing as normal and all my shirts came out with bright red stains wherever they had come into contact with deodorant (concentrated, of course, to the underarm area).

I have soaked in salt water, nappy soaker, laundry soaker. I have pre-wash stain removed with sprays, sticks and creams, and I have bleached (both industrial strength and natural). All that works is hard laundry soap and good old elbow grease. Then I get to do it all again next wash!!

Firstly - can anyone shed some light on this matter? I have now changed deodorant and laundry liquid and it's still happening.

Secondly - can anyone offer any better suggestion to cleaning the stains - the vigorous hand washing required is ripping the fabric.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just got this new conforter, and i have exema (sp?) so sometimes I get really itchy and kinda....well scratch and bleed.

I don't think I can really soack the conforter in anything, any way to get the blood stains out without submerging this massing fabric into a pool?

Hi! I have a few fur coats and jackets and I was wondering how to wash it without having the fur look messed up. Does dry cleaning help? The last time I washed it, it got all poofy and smooshed together! =(

Am looking for some home concoction rather than a proprietary chemical.

My husband has way too many books, media, outdated clothes, magazines, gadgets, memorabilia from his childrood (such as thousands of baseball cards) and out of style ornaments, many of which sit in plastic bins. He doesn't want to throw anything out because it is sentimental to him. I want to keep my house from overflowing, plus I'm a neat freak. Should I get rid of certain things anyway? I admit, sometimes I do that and 99% of the time he doesn't notice. But I I hate to throw out anything that isn't mine!

My dryer will not put out hot or warm air while drying. We have unclogged the vent and blew it out with a shop vac, but still have this problem. Is the only thing that could be wrong a heating element? Or is there many more things that could be wrong? If it's the heating element how hard is it to change?

I have before. My mother warned me about it while I was washing my dishes. I was like mama I know what I'm doing trying to play it cool. Well, next thing I knew when I was finished washing the dished I went to the bathroom and saw my shirt in the mirror! A perfectly nice looking shirt ruined by my all time rival in household cleaners. Lol. Over the years I've gotten nice clothes ruined because of it.

I am a kid and I really hate cleaning my room. I allways do the, put two clothes in a pile (dirty and clean) then fold the clean ones and put them in the droy or hang them up and put the clean ones in the wash. But really I am sick of doing that because I am kind of lazy today becuase I have a cold. So does any one know a good way of cleaning up a room faster and easier?
