We both live very hectic lives I work full time and go to school full time and he works 60 hours a week. Does anyone have any tips I have tried talking to him about it but it seems to do little good. His idea of clean is far different then mine. Wife's how do you get your hubby involved?

My daughter was "cooking" dinner the other night, and left a plastic (nylon) cooking utensil in the pot. Then she left the pot on the burner and "forgot to turn it off." When I got home, it had been "simmering" in the pot for about 20 - 30 minutes. Is my new pot lost? Is there a way to remove the melted plastic from the pot without damaging it? I have already tried boiling water in it. I thought maybe if I got it to heat back up it would be easier to remove, but alas, it did not budge. Any thoughts?

I had chicken boiling on the stove and I forgot to turn it off before I went to the store. When I came back the house was filled with smoke. How do I get rid of the odor out of the mattresses, walls, clothes, carpet and everywhere else?

Much to my annoyance, most of my work clothes (suits, pants, etc.) must be dry cleaned. How often should they be dry cleaned? How often is too often? The work I do is mostly office work, so it's not like I'm outside playing in the dirt.

I recently moved into a new apartment, and for the first week, my mirror never fogged up while I was in the shower. ( Very nice for shaving right away!) Once I cleaned the mirror with Windex, It started fogging up during every hot shower. That leads me to believe that there is some product out there that doesn't let my mirror fog up.

You know those web-sites where you can name your own price. Just wondering if there was one for appliances. I put a search in but did not come up with one for that. I wanted to get a new washer and dryer but do not like the price in the store. Thank you very much!

why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down again to give the vacuum one more chance?

I'm really tired of ironing my khaki pants each time I wash them. I've tried washing and then immediately hanging them up, but it just doesn't get it.
Can someone recommend a good brand of wrinkle free Khakis that you can wash, dry and wear?
Thanks

Hi there! Anyone have any hints or tricks on how to remove static from laundry. I washed a twin blanket and put it in the drier to well....dry and when it came out its buzzing with static.
