I got a cleaner that takes off grease that is mixed in a qt bottle. Start with ammonia. Fill it to the 10:1 mark on the bottle then fill the bottle with water to the fill line near the top. Add 2 tsp LEMON dish soap. It cuts through that nasty yellow grease left behind by cooking fairly easily and without a whole lot of scrubbing.

It depends on what you want to clean. I use vinegar for cleaning glass, diluted Lysol for almost everything else, baking soda for scrubbing, and bleach for if I have especially strong odors or perhaps mildew to kill.
Now, there are certain herbal infusions that make good cleaners. But I'm not practiced at such manufacture, so I won't presume to say more.

Depends on the type of cleaner you want to make and it's application. I use straight Apple Cider Vinegar (smells and odors) for some jobs and White Vinegar (counter tops and stoves) for others.

Cleaner for what? Household stuff....tables, floors, etc. ? If it is for floors I would suggest a diluted with water bleach mixture.
