I have used a thin paste made from Comet and water and a toothbrush. But be sure to check a small area first to be sure that the grout isn't so old and brittle that rubbing it with comet doesn't dislodge it or damage it. Sometimes, if it's too far gone and trying to clean it damages it, you have to get a Dremmel tool and drill out the old grout and regrout the area. I have done it a few times, and tho a lot of work, replacing the grout gives the floor a whole new look.

yep ... sure do

go to a store that sells swimming pools, spas and accessories .... Leslie's is the name a name of a national chain.

Ask for
"Tire Grout StainEraser"

As the name states ... it is an eraser type of spongie-thingie-do. And you use it just like an eraser at a 45 degree angle

There are 2 erasers, different widths, for $15.00. Sounds expensive??? Mine has lasted well over a year and it's hardly worn down at all. It is far cheaper than all the cleaners that only work so-so and require a toothbrush on your hands and knees.

You can also use it on concrete surfaces, toilets with calcium deposits and hard water buildup.

I have had WONDERFUL results and my grout in the kitchen that has almost a wheat color grout ... Funny how I never knew they were that light ... well, at least now they are.

there is a color grout sealer that you can get from home depot. I have used it many times and turned many people on to it. you have to throughly scubs your tile grout. kaboom works great, then you use a small brush and paint the grout lines if you get any on the tiles onces it dries or sets up you can go over it with a scotch bright pad with water and soap. it might take two coats. The intial part of doing it is time consuming. but once it is done you basically are grout scrubbing free for 6 months to a year. it comes in small white bopttles with a few colors to choose from. I was an apartment maintenance supervisor when i found it. and we used it in all the apartments from that point on and really gives a beautiful look to tile, in my opinion .

Aquamix make a tile and stone cleaner that's ideal for kitchen floors. It has to be diluted in water in different strengths, but it does remove all kinds of dirt.

I have used a similar brand on my kitchen floor before giving it a final sealing treatment with a solvent based, deep penetrating chemical. This lasts for a couple of years, and makes the floor look nice and shiny and clean.
I buy these products online.

i know a method which worked for me. first you have to wear protective things like pair of gloves, knee protectors and some ra gs. lavatory cleaners like harpic blue. take care to line each grout ,but first put those rags where you want to stop cleaning. then after a few squares you brush and rinse at the same time .without much brushing because all the grime comes up to the surface. try it . but always take care of your skin. and leave room open for ventilation. you don't have to stay .because it's so fast and easy. try not to inhale much

get the Clorox Bleach Pen. It has a pointed end and the other is a brush. Make sure you have old clothes on so you dont' get bleach on them and open a window..it is strong. It works on bathroom grout too.

After cleaning, you should consider using a grout sealer, this will allow you to go longer without all the scrubbing, it resists stains

I do half at a time with well ventilation. Put bleach on let soak until its white then mop it up. Then mop it again to make sure no bleach is left then do the same to the other half. No scrubbing. Im usually cleaning something else while its soaking, or watch tv.

The best product I have found is called "Kaboom". It comes in a purple bottle and is available at the grocery store. I have used it several times and it works great.
