Is there something I can add to get rid of the brown color? Right now I take them somewhere and wash them but it is a pain. We have a water softener but it isn't working right now.

I have some coins, which are NOT valuable, and I would liek to clean them to make them shiny agian. They are pennies and other coins. I'm looking for Home remadies, such as cleaning solutions or home products. THE VALUE of the coins is not an issue, so please no "Don't clean them, it demishies the value" speechs.

PS Sorry, about poor spelling.

I just got a used oak desk. It had clear packing tape on the desk surface that when I pulled it off left a sticky white mark. Almost like pulling it off an imitation wood surface? It's like this one.

Question1: How do I clean it off?
Question2: The tape came off the drawers just fine. No marks - does this mean the top of the desk is farmaica ?

My room mate is a pig. Heats food without covering it, food splatters and ends up as smelly little dried up splotches all over the walls of the microwave. I know I should just go buy a new one, but as long as I have this roommate, why bother as it would just get nasty again. So I need the best answer on how to get the crud off the walls and the odor out. Please help.

My home has a well instead of city water. Whenever I ran a bath, brownish colored flecks come out of my faucet. After looking at the faucet, I noticed that the inside is covered in this redish-brown film. I am assuming that it is from the rust in the water, although I could be wrong. Can anybody tell me how to get rid of it?
Thanks!

I'd love some advice in buying a new electric washer/dryer, am not especially fond of a front-load machine but saw a top-load washer w/ top load dryer with glass lids - kinda neat looking, but has anyone used them? I'd like a decent size machine, but not huge. I also prefer to buy from Lowe's although I'm not afraid to look elsewhere. thanks!!
