It is in the middle of winter and there is a mold problem in a room that is often colder than the rest of the house. How can I reduce the dampness/moisture/humidity in this room?

My garbage disposal drain smells horrible. No matter what I try it still smells funny. I've tried putting bleach down the drain and letting it set (well, as best as it can...I realize it's a liquid and most goes down the drain). What techniques do you use?

I have rubber backed curtains and there seems to be very light mold forming on the backing due to moisture. How can I remove this? Would a chlorine based mold killer be too strong?

I didn't want to do anything but soak up the excess with an old towel cause I didn't want to smudge it. But now I have this big spot about the size of a dinner plate in my living room carpet.... What if anything can get it out? Please.. :-(

in an hour?

Or are you one of those freaks who keeps a clean house? (And how the HELL do you do it?)

I live with a packrat (whom I love dearly!), so that doesn't help matters any....I find I am always picking up after him, so much so that i don't get a chance to do any "deep cleaning".

And what about Flylady's system? Anyone familiar with it? Does it work?

How do I train a packrat NOT to be a packrat?

I live in UAE where the climate is really hot. I live in a big villa(house). There are 2 bedrooms, a tv lounge, drawing room and a separate maids room w/bathroom. Total, there are 4 bathrooms to clean (incld maids room). I have tiles all over my house and I was wondering if instead of using a broom or brush I can use a vaccum? becus I am extremely irritated that within a few hours of cleaning my house looks dirty again (with dust, hairs etc). I am already exhausted... picking up hairs from the tiles and then cleaning. Is there any vaccum that can be used on tiles... is hoover a good product? Is there any product otherwise, which would help me clean the entire house in good time like a vaccum? Would really appreciate if you can help me. Response from people of UAE or Dubai would be great, because they might share my pain and be able to give an effective solution.

I think you should use a towel once after a shower and then it needs to go into the dirty clothes basket. My wife thinks you should use it 3 or 4 times before it's dirty. Just curious what others think
