I am hard working person but I cannot afford comerical shampoo for my shampooer so I thought I could use a very little amount of dawn dishwashing soap.I would like to know if I can.

Sure you can- if you want foam everywhere. There are different soaps for different purposes, and what is good for your dishes isn't necessarily good for your carpet. (Would you wash your hair with car soap?)

Bite the bullet and get the commercial soap, or find your local Freecycle board, and see if someone has some leftover rug shampoo you can use. (You can find lots of stuff on Freecycle...)

NO way. It will foam all over the place like a nightmare. You need to get regular carpet cleaning shampoo.

no you cant. you need carpet cleaner so you wont have foam everwhere.
