I do 6 loads and I have 3 kids and a husband; 2 colors 1 darks, 1 whites, 1 towels, 1 bedding. You might need more clothes!! Just kidding -
I used to do a load or 2 every day and then it got to about 10 loads a week, and the bill was ridiculous. So I got a housekeeping book that said to do laundry once a week, and that's worked pretty well for me. You just have to be sure that you have enough underwear and socks to do the laundry only once.

I do two washes each week day and three on the weekends.
I wash whites and then darks.
On the weekends I wash all the bed linen, towels and tea towels.
I use aerial or persil capsules, some oxy clean and fairy fabric conditioner. I line dry our clothes, iron with scented water and then air before placing them in the wardrobe.
I love laundry.
Hmm I dream of laundry products. I iron all our dish clothes and underwear and iron the heels of socks so that they are comfortable.
I can remove any stain from fabric
I am getting quite excited about laundry and stopped typing to slip in a load, I am washing underwear on a 60 degree cycle with a little dettol to kill germs.
I will peg on the line because it is a warm evening.
I like to peg everything by size and colour and get upset if my neighbour does not do the same.
When the underwear is done I am going to wash the bath mat, this needs to go on a wool cycle.
I love to go to Waitrose and gaze at the laundry products.
I have a miele washing machine, I love it. It is quite silent.
Sometimes I watch the clothes going round, this is quite soothing after a stressful day.

I think we do about eight loads a week. I have uniforms that have to be washed after each shift so that adds to the number. There are just the two of us. My hubby does his and I do mine. When all four kids at home, my washer was begging for mercy! It was a whirlpool and it lasted thru seventeen years of jeans and soccer uniforms and the like, without so much as a service call. The washer and dryer both died after everyone left home. You would think it would have liked to enjoy a little retirement first!! ha ha. Happy wash day.

It all depends on if I'm washing my bedding. I say around 2 to 3 loads.
