I think it is mineral stains where the water runs and there is a ring where the water sits. I have tried bowl cleaners and a pumice stone any other suggestions?

for lavatory bowls upload one million liter of vinegar to the bowl itself and scrub with a bathroom brush to dissolve away difficult water stains which have outfitted up via the years. also, by skill of including one million liter of organic vinegar to the cistern (tank at lower back of bathing room) this not purely eliminates any stains from there yet as well eliminates any from below the rim on the subsequent flush. each sometimes stains are more suitable obdurate – for this make a paste of white vinegar and baking soda and scrub gently with a tender brush or sponge. by no skill use an abrasive cleanser like scouring pads, powders or metallic wool as this may scratch the floor. wish that permits!

Scrub the basin with a toilet pumice stone. Don't use the kind for your feet. They make a special kind for toilets.

wet sanding will make it look new again but it depends on how deep the build-up is to choose the right grade of paper. try about 180 grit should do the trick and sand with lots of water in the bowl...just be careful not to sand down into the enamel

Try using The Works toilet bowl cleaner. If you can, turn the water off and soak it down and scrub. Or go to this site. Scroll down and there something else for you to try. It works!

You might have an old/or scratched bowl. Try "The Works" toilet bowl cleaner - it has never let me down, and it's cheap.
