I have dealt with this same problem. The smooth tops sure are convenient and great for even cooking, but they're harder to keep clean than you might expect!
At the store, look for a product called "Bar Keeper's Friend". It will come in a cardboard canister that you shake like Comet (bleach). I believe that the label is gold and blue. This product is especially effective for revoing stains from pots and pans, or other metal surfaces, but I always use it on my stove top and I've yet to encounter a mark that it couldn't remove.
When using it, I'd suggest wearing rubber gloves so that your hands aren't raw that night. Also, the instructions should help you through the process, but I'd apply some with a little water to make a paste, and let it sit on the stain for 15 min. or so before scrubbing. You may still need to add a little pressure, but I think this should do the trick for you. It always works for me!
Good Luck... let me know how it turns out!

Yes !!use a product called Cerama Bryte. I know they sell it at Lowes and then they also sell a non abrasuve scruber too. If you have BIG amrks you can use a single edge razor to get the big stuff off. Just be careful `` turn your razor at 30 degrees when trimming off the food.
IF you have used pans that arent stainless steel they leave marks on there that might not be able to be removed.
One more thing if you do get it off with Cerama Bryte. Then after you are done Pour some on a cloth and buff the top dry with it to seal and protect from the next spill.
Hope this helps..

I've never had a stove like yours, but baking soda is good for removing a lot of dirts and stains.
Good luck!

Scrub with baking soda.do it frequently so that it doesn't really get messed up before you try removing the stain.and it is also easier if done more often.
