I have a ring of cooking spray and oil build up in my pan and need to know who to clean that off to be able to still benefit from the teflon.

Use an Oven Cleaner / De Greaser. I take my pans out into the yard and spray them and leave them out for a little while. You can then rise it clean with some soap and warm water. Make sure you use the oven Cleaner in a ventilated place if you are planning to apply it indoors.

Well there are two things you could try. First try using a mild dish soap and hot water and a dish cloth or a dish brush. Just give it a good scrub. Or you can do my favorite one. It's an old navy trick. Put some warm water in the pan with a couple of drops of a mild dish washing soap. Put it on the stove and turn the stove on high. Bring it to a boil and let it go for a few Min's after it starts to boil. {Stay by it at all times. You don't want any fires!} Then you just dump any remaining water{ if any} and give it a quick rub down. {Carefull it's hot}. Repeat as necisarry.Be carefull to use a soft brush. If you use a s.o.s pad or a hard brush. Or if you scrub too hard. You can damage the finish. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!

You may have ruined your pan, a lot of Teflon pans have instructions as what to and what not to do to them. Most you put a small amount of oil wipe it around, clean it and then use it without any cooking spray. This may not remedy your current situation, but may save you time and dollars next time. Good luck.

Try a paste of baking soda: I've used that with great success against built-up grease and sprays, and it's non-abrasive so it shouldn't hurt the Teflon.

most likely, you'll be eating the stuff no matter how well you think the pan is cleaned. avoid Teflon & cook at a lower temp in the future.
