To get chewing gum unstuck from clothes, put clothing in freezer for a few hours, then pick the frozen piece of gum off.
The cold works to loosen the grip between the clothes and the gum. The net result will be the chewing gum can easily be removed from the clothes...
~hope this helps

Find De-Solv-It here:
www.orange-sol.com
I have used orange solvents for over a decade. They are even used in hospitals to remove tar and adhesives from burn victims.
It can haze or dull the color on SOME fabrics on the spot where you rubbed it, in which case I'd use WD40 first to loosen most of the gum.
Don't use it on acrylic fabrics or hard surfaces -- it can actually dissolve them. I used it on a cd cover once and after it got the adhesive off like it's supposed to, I left it on too long and the surface of the plastic started to dissolve.
I am assuming that you don't have one huge chunk of gum -- in which case you would just use the good ole freezer trick -- and that the gum is spread out in strips. It's time against money -- some items might just be easier to replace than labor over cleaning.
Anyway, products like this, including Citra-Solv and Goo-Gone (which does contain petroleum products) are all natural for the most part, made from the extract of orange peels and natural soaps...
Good Luck! :)

Yep! Put the clothing in your freezer and leave in there for about an hour. When you take it out work quickly to chip the gum off. If the gum becomes soft again, put it back in the freezer and try again later.
Hope that helps!!
Much Love!!

Rubbing ice over the gum to, essentially--"freeze" the gum [harden it] might help to "chip" or break it off.. You could also try (either OR in addition) one of those citrus-based bug & tar removers (may have to apply 2 or 3 times though)--such as De-Solv-It (a little spray bottle of orange/yellow liquid--which, of course--smells like citrus). You can find them in any hardware store; drug store, Target/Walmart, or even the grocery store!

Put your clothes in the freezer. The gum will become brittle and chip off.

Try sticking it in a plastic bag and then put it in the freezer. This'll freeze the gum and it should come off pretty easily.

Peanut Butter puts oils onto the gum and makes it detach itself. To get the oil out of the clothes, then use liquid soap (dawn) to get it out.

Hold ice on the gum until it hardens and then scrape it off.
Then spot treat before washing.
