We were all ready to buy a Whirlpool Cabrio, and then we read some reviews online saying that they are horrible and Whirlpools service is even worse. So now the wife and are confused on what to get.
She's heard that front loaders leak and get mold on the gasket, and that most top loaders don't clean well or recquire maintenance. Now we do own a Kenmore washer and dryer now, but they came with the house we bought, and we're not sure old they are, but they don't seem to be cleaning or drying cloths very well.
I told her to pick any make and madel she wants, but she's confused on what to spend the money on!!
Help her and me out and recommend a good set!

Thanks
Sean

I'm considering selling rare herbs/veggies/flowers locally next year. However, I might also attempt an internet type business.
My question is, does anyone know how you would pack plants in order to keep them alive during shipping. I'm aware that things should be shipped when they are dormant (early Spring, late fall). Also, what are the laws regarding shipping plants to different states?
Any info would help. Thanks.

I can possibly get some for free. But it's been sitting in a tank in a basement for a decade. Is it still good, or should I pass on the opportunity to save $600? FYI, we have a 50 year old Burnham Boiler, which we use for heat and domestic hot water.
P.S. I have been told that diesel fuel can be substituted for #2 in a pinch, as they are essentially the same. So if any one knows about diesel fuel, that information may be useful.

My wife just moved into a new apartment and there are mice. We never dealt with mice before.

They are too smart for traps; they don't work.

I figured the mice would be scared if they picked up the scent of a larger animal in the house.

So I put some of my feces in the corner behind the refrigerator.

My wife smelled it, moved the fridge and saw what I did.

Needless to say, she didn't agree with my theory.

How can I explain this theory to her?

I live in South Carolina, and we have a large yard with NO landscaping and no trees. I want to put some flower beds next to the house that contain shrubs only. The problem is that I'm not sure which kind of mulch to get, how deep it needs to be, and I'm having a problem finding it in stores. We're going to edge each bed with the concrete edger blocks. As for the mulch, I'd like long-lasting, insect repelling, reddish colored and very low maintenance. Don't want much do I? Any info you have would be appreciated. I am not a gardener by any stretch!

I bought a mum at wal-mart in a small planter I guess you would call it. I don't have a green thumb, and my mum is dying...can it be saved? There were a few days that it didn't get water and now its turning brown. How long to mums usually last and do they need to be planted in the ground?

panels are to be formed up horizontal on existing slab with welded mesh reinforcing and lifted into position when set.
Aside from cement, what can be used to cast the panels (which are not load bearing, loads will be taken by columns.)
and keep them as lightweight as possible yet resistant to impact?

I have a 1/2 hp craftsman model 139.52615SR. I have no idea how old it is. It was in the house when I purchased it 4 years ago.
When I push the wall control, the opener light comes on, I hear a click and nothing happens. The same thing happens when I use a remote. I've disconnected the door drive and the door moves smoothly. I don't have sensors. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Annuals are the ones that come back every year right? Those are the ones I need to know about. Should I pull the dead plants once the frost gets them? Or do I just leave them alone? I'm fairly sure they've already seeded....I'm a new gardener and the house I moved into has a lovely garden and I want to maintain it!! Help!!!
Thanking you in advance, Flamingo.

My toilet runs constantly. I can lift the black plunger bubble looking thing (not too familiar with toilets, sorry) and the toilet will cease running. Anyways, I'm planning on buying a toilet repair kit at the local dollar general for 8 bucks and googling how to fix it.

My main question is this: my electric bill is outrageously high from month to month (way more usage on the bill than what I could possibly using WAY WAY more, I use 3000 kwh a month and try hard to conserve electricity). Could a constantly running toilet (it's been running for a month now) be causing my electric bill to be so high?

Lastly, I have a ton of water in my front yard and there's been an ongoing drought all summer. All my neighbors yards are like concrete they're so dry. In my front yard there is a large diameter that is like walking through a swamp or something. Could this be caused by the constantly running toilet (maybe causing the septic tank to overflow? not sure..)?

Please help, thanks!

I'm too depressed to clean house, it's like I just don't care. I don't like taking anti-depressants, and my house wasn't much cleaner when I was on them, anyway. Any suggestions on how to motivate myself?

We've replaced the standard builder grade carpet in the living room, dining room and hallways with mid-priced red oak floors. About 400 sq ft total.
I'm contemplating replacing the carpet in the bedrooms and the flooring in both bathrooms & kitchen. Is it going to be worth the investment?
Does anyone who has replaced the flooring in their home know about how much that's increased the value?

Where do you find Bluing/Blueing to make your whites whiter?
What is the brand name and what does it look like?
Powder or is it liquid?

Walmart does not have it, nor my local grocery stores.
