hot is best but warm would be better than cold since it wouldn't solidify grease like cold does.

Certain types types of soaps dissolve better in warm water than cold, and relaxes the fibers so the soap can get inside and lift the grime.
As far as killing germs, unless that water is at boiling temperature, it won't "kill" germs. This is why diapers traditionally always had to be either boiled, or bleached. One sure method of killing germy clothes is to hang them outside on a clothes line ~ the UVs of the sun will kill germs and sanitize your clothing after several hours.

warm no, some germs actually thrive better in warm waters. Boiling hot yes, but not just warm. You are better off just using a good soap and a comfortable water temp.

definetly yes n y cuz organisms like germs live at certain temperature so by increasing water temp like hot water this extra heat kills the enzymes of germs n consequently kill them it also increases solubility n acts as catalyst so cleans more efficiently n removes oil

Yes, your teeth would get cleaner using hot water. But the water is really a small part of cleaning teeth - the primary action is the toothbrush scrubbing food particles and bacteria away. Even toothpaste plays a secondary role to the mechanical action of brushing.

Typically yes, but if you are laundering something with stains, warm and/or hot water will set the stain in the fabric. Check out this website for great tips!
