While some floor coatings might include some Polymers in the ingredients the substance of it is NOT wax, nor is it the same as the plastic bags; other than in some vague chemical way.

I have seen this Q asked here in the past however; and wonder where people got that idea.

Beyond that; with current technology Floor Wax is a bit archaic.

My best advice on this matter is; DON'T TRY IT!

Floor wax has no plastic in it. You can get a gallon of real floor sealer or floor finish for less than $20 @ Wal-Mart.

If you need help with that, post another question on the subject, and we'll get you advice on how to strip, apply, or buff.
