I have a 1/2 hp craftsman model 139.52615SR. I have no idea how old it is. It was in the house when I purchased it 4 years ago.
When I push the wall control, the opener light comes on, I hear a click and nothing happens. The same thing happens when I use a remote. I've disconnected the door drive and the door moves smoothly. I don't have sensors. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

when you push a button or the remote it engages a solnoid, switch that turns the electricity on, its either stuck or bad.

Check for a reset on the drive motor most good units have one to prevent motor burn out. If you find one and reset it and it pops again the motor probably is shot. If it doesnt have a reset you have a bad motor more than likely.

Sorry to be the one to say this, but your opener is so old it is no longer is in the Sears computer database. (it must be over 20 years old) Since parts are no longer available for it, replacement seems to be the only course of action left. (Sorry)
