Does anybody know if it is possible to get ink stains out of a white shirt? I think it is going to be impossible because the ink didnt leak on fresh. I (super smartly) washed a pen and it busted in the dryer and is baked into the clothes. I also need to know how to get it off the inside of my dryer. =( Thanks to anyone who can help!

I picked one already that was orangish in color and it was really good with olive oil! Some others were on the ground so I picked those so they wouldn't get bugs. But they are green. Will they ripen in my kitchen by themselves?

we bought our townhome last year in feb of 2006, i just noticed yesterday leaking from the ceiling in the basment and i when i touched the ceiling it was completely soaked..and ready to fall in. come to find out it is from the bathroom on my upper level and i had to find where it was coming from and it looks like one of the pipes are corrodided and seem to leak through the living room and then down to the basement. when i called my insurance to claim it they are telling me if it looks like a problem that has been going on for a while they wont consider on claiming it ..which to me sounds like bull crap because we had no idea. if that is the case how do i go about fixing it.?.the tub has been there im assuming since they built the place in 1973 because it is one of those steel tubs..i feel like we got screwed in buying our home because when we moved in the ac, furnace and water heater went up then a week later the washer and dryer. we dont know what we are gonna do.

I want to redesign my room-mostly to make it look more 'old fashioned'(like Victorian, or an old country style-kinda like the style of the house in 'Practical Magic')and simple. The thing is, my room is 7 feet wide by 11-and I just can't think of a thing to do with this size a space! Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

I bought a house (very cheaply) that has had several renos done on it--windows removed and boarded up and doors removed and boarded up. The vinyl siding is dirty and full of large and small holes.

What I want to do is remove all the siding and put up some stucco. Any opinions or pointers would be appreciated!

Do you need to turn off power on breaker panel? Or can you just turn off power switch in room?

About a month ago, one of my friends put leftovers in my trunk (seafood alfredo) and it spilled on an old gym bag of mine. I threw the leftovers out, but forgot to take the gym bag up and wash it. About a week ago, I noticed a horrible smell in my car and quickly remembered the smelly gym bag, took it up, and washed it. The smell lingered in my car, so I got it detailed. I also pulled out and washed the trunk liner and literally got in the trunk and SCRUBBED with Lysol and put a bunch of dryer sheets back there. But there is still a smell. I don't know where else to clean to try and get rid of it. The smell now confines itself to my trunk and you can't smell it in the regular part of the car, but I am about ready to take a road trip and I dont' want my luggage to pick up this smell. Is there somethign I can do to neutrlize this odor? I am out of ideas. By the way, I know there is nothing rotting in or under the car. I have been all through it and I just had it serviced.

I have installed a bamboo privacy fence, but you can still see through it. Is there some type of mesh or other material I can install on the back of the fence to create total privacy and eliminate the ability to see through it?

A few of us recently moved into a duplex, my girlfriend and i were cleaning out the closet from webs and dust when we noticed a pipe in the closet, at further inspection, we noticed this pipe stinks. We removed any clothes we had in the closet from fear it would smell. We know the pipe is directly connected to the bathroom toilet upstairs and it everything must go through that pipe in our closet. We need to get rid of this smell, and perhaps put a wall up around this pipe. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

We want to make an L-shaped workspace with kitchen wall cabinets underneath. We have 2 15" and 1 corner wall cabinet for support. We also have a 2'x6' and a 2'x4' piece of maple. I was planning on cutting 45 degree angles on those pieces & joining over the corner cabinet. Will this work? Any other suggestions? (handyman skill level-close to nil!)

We just bought a house with a carport. This carport roof doesn't look like it's been cleaned in some time, and is right beneath a large oak tree. Is there a solution you could recommend to clean the top of this roof so it isn't so unsightly? Thanks in advance for any reply!

I am doing a vegetable garden for the first time. We rented a rotatiler, then added peat moss. I then planted seeds and tomato seedlings. I have been watering every morning, now I feel like it is too much. The cucumbers have not grown anymore since they popped out of the ground. The green beans lower leaves have turned yellow. I do see some tomatoes and yellow flowers. Any words of wisdom??? Thank you in advance.

I planted 5 Hydranges three years ago. They are still alive but have only grown about three inches and each produces about 10 leaves, no blossoms. Is this normal? Do I need to amend the soil? I do acidic Miracle grow on them twice a summer.
Please help...I want the beautiful flowers that I see elsewhere.

Yesterday, I went to look at the clock on the microwave and noticed that it was off. I figured that the outlet burned out and I would have my boyfriend look at it when he got home from work. I went out for the evening and came back. I went to turn on some lights and half of the lights worked, and half of them were very dim, it was on enough to see that the light was on, but not enough to light the room. All of my big appliances aren't working, dryer, fridge, microwave, and air conditioner. In one half of the house the tvs work, but the other it doesn't. In one half the fans work, but the other the fan goes very slowly.
I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but it has been raining every day for the past couple weeks, and the other day I noticed my tv flickering but I didn't think anything of it. Any ideas?
