I hate laundry too, but what helps me, is to think about all those poor souls who have to lug bags and bags of laundry to the public coin laundry.
They have to sit there and wait and then fold and sort there on the less than clean tables, then they have to lug it all home again and put it away. I've been there and done that, so it helps me appreciate the luxury of having my own machine.
Feel better yet? (smile)

I feel the same way!! I am also a housewife and have 2 boys. My husband comes home from work and showers and changes and my kids will change all the time in the summer and after school. If I don't do laundry for 4 days (I tried it and don't recommend it, I had to help a friend get ready for her wedding) I had 6 loads ... in just 3 DAYS!!
I feel your pain, but the only other alternative(if you have it) is to pay for your laundry to be done. I have a laundry mat/video store near my home and if you pay extra the video store girl/guy will do your laundry for you while you are at work or whatever and you can pick it up at the end of the day. I have never personally done this but my neighbor does.

tell them that u are cutting your wash day back to 2 times a week. then take some of their socks underwear and shirts and put them away and tell them that if their clothes are not dirty then they must wear the clothes again the next day. however the husband in construction it is ok for him to change everyday but if what he puts on after a shower is clean and then he takes it off tellhim to fold it and wear it again tommorow. u will see drastic laundry changes when this happens. it may take a few days but everyone will get the hint when they see the clothes arent getting washed every day. good luck and i hope this helps...

doe syour husband help at all? Since the time I was in 6th grade, each of us (mom, dad, two older and one younger brother) did our own laundry. Noone trusted anyone else with their clothes (hey, a few ruined items will do that!). I live with my boyfriend and still, we each do our own. I tend to go through about 3 outfits a day - work clothes, gym clothes, play clothes, and my boyfriend would feel too guilty if I were to do his laundry.

At 9, they can start to learn how to do their own laundry, or at least fold it and put it away. Kids need to have chores because it teaches responsibility, and how to get things done in a certain time, so when they go out in the real world they are not overwhelmed.
